Description: |
The Galileo (or Business Accelerator Modeler)
is used to develop automated Business solutions which enable customization of
business process applications (BPAs)
through graphically modeling the systems. In this assignment, the objective
is to build packaging and deployment tools for the Galileo product and
related softwares using InstallAnywhere 8.0. The emphasis of this project is
primarily to create packaging and deployment tools which use the platform
independent development features of Install Anywhere to reduce development
time provide rich look and feel and support for external configuration during
installation. During Post-Installation, the deployment tool also enables
deployment of the connectors/adapters, EJBs, and other project jar files to
the various application servers. |

Responsibilities: |

Worked as a developer. ·
Developed a prototype of the packaging and
deployment tool using the Installer Anywhere 8.0. ·
Developed custom Java codes to create custom
actions, panels and rules, besides enabling creation of plug-ins using
Install Anywhere and JDK1.5 supported APIs. ·
Worked on development of installers which not
only takes care of copying the packaged files to appropriate locations but
also the database configuration, and deployment of Resource Adapters,
Connectors and security components to various Application Servers. ·
Developed custom codes/scripts for deployment
in JBoss4.0 (hot deployment) and Used Tortoise SVN for version control. ·
Performed Unit testing the product in Windows
2003 Server, Solaris 10, and Red Hat Linux 9.0 and AIX5.3 environment. ·
Worked on bug fixing, document reviews, client
demos and addressing QA queries and issues. ·
Functioned as a point of contact with the

The retail chain company used Lawson 7.2 as an ERP
in AS400 system. This ERP was going out of support as Lawson 9.0
was released. The company wanted to use Lawson 9.0 in AIX Environment, so
different components had to be migrated to new AIX system from existing AS400
system. These interfaces used data from databases on both the systems.
Currently working on the reverse synch data migration from AIX to AS400. |

and two-way synchronization among two DB2 databases, one on AIX system and

Researching on Shell scripting for AIX side to
execute actions. ·
Developed an independent test environment to
simulate and facilitate testing of code, as all work is done in production
